Alteration and Modification Request Forms
An Arbor Hills' Alteration and Modification Request Form must be submitted and approved for any alterations of the exterior of your Arbor Hills home, as it is required by the Association Bylaws. Association pproval is required for the installation or modification of decks, fencing, or play structures, and all projects including landscaping that may impact drainage, street lights, mailbox stands, sidewalks, easements, roads, and any common elements. Approval is also required for any exterior updates including door, screen door, garage door, and window replacement as well as re-roofing and any of the previously listed elements. Landscaping which does not affect drainage, sidewalks, or the common elements is the only exception, and does not require Association approval. Any color changes should preserve the current color scheme of the neighborhood, earth tone colors with white accents. Color descritpions should be included on the form if they deviate from what exists prior to the alteration or modification.
Please allow two weeks from the submission of all necessary information to the management company for permit approval. If there are circumstances that require examination of the site or other special circumstances, the approval process may take longer. Under Association regulations, you may be fined if approval is not granted by the Association, prior to starting the work.
Signatures are required from your neighbors on your Alt/Mod form. It provides notification to your neighbors of the work that will be done, as well as allows them to provide feedback on any changes being made, in case there is an issue. If you have difficulty obtaining your neighbors signatures, please contact Select Community Management to obtain their phone number. Other suggestions are to leave a note at their door or in their mailbox with your contact information and your request.
If you have any questions regardng the form or whether the type of work you are planning requires Association approval, please contact the Assocation by submitting your inquiry through the Association Contact Form or call Select Community Management directly.
